Reuge – Art and High Tech shown at the Geneva Time Exhibition

Reuge will yet again be showing some of its jewels of the world of music boxes and singing birds during the Geneva Time Exhibition GTE (January 20th – 24th, 2013, Bâtiment des Forces Motrices, Geneva).
This year, the focus will be on an unusual mixture of Art and High Tech.

On one side will be showcased a piece developed with the renowned school of Art “ECAL” Ecole Cantonale d’Art de Lausanne during the MAS-LUX program: José Ferrufino has created a unique piece which will quickly become the talking piece of the world of music boxes: Slightly Windy.

Expanding from an already very emotional piece of mechanical music, José Ferrufino added yet another dimension with the slowly moving Golden Wheat. Reuge proves again that a music box is a masterpiece “outside the box”.

On the other side will be showcased the iReuge, a unique and extremely High Tech music box. The beautiful timeless design of the team Meyer & Loup features not only a top quality 72 note movement, but a special space for your iPhone. Special features: when you place your iPhone on the iReuge, the phone will immediately charge by induction (a highly sophisticated development hidden underneath to enable this function). Also, as soon as the phone vibrates (incoming call, text message, or alarm function), the music box will start to play
